Sciroppo di Teatro 2023 – ATER Fondazione

We support ATER Fondazione by sponsoring the
‘Sciroppo di teatro’ theatre project for children and their families.

‘Sciroppo di teatro’ is a project organised by ATER Fondazione, a public participatory foundation whose founding members are the Emilia-Romagna Region and numerous municipalities in the region.

The 2022/2023 season welcomes the second edition of this important cultural initiative supported by the Fondazione Marchesini ACT.

‘Sciroppo di teatro’ is a project that takes a preventive approach to culture and is based on the premise that culture and the arts are essential elements for the health and well-being of all people, constituting a universal right of citizenship.

The project is devoted to girls and boys aged between 3 and 11, who will receive from paediatricians and pharmacies – operating in the municipalities involved – the ‘Sciroppo di teatro’: a booklet containing an insert with instructions on how to administer and take this infallible and extraordinary medicine.

The booklet contains three ‘recipes’, i.e. three detachable coupons, each of which corresponds to a ticket, priced at 2 euros, for each child and each accompanying person.
Together they will be able to go to the dedicated theatre spaces and to attend 3 children’s theatre performances scheduled from mid-January until April 2023.

‘Sciroppo di teatro’ is a project that focused on the theme of cultural welfare, i.e. the relationship between culture and well-being, where culture and art are seen as ‘medicine’ with multiple positive effects.

The effects can be seen on individual and social well-being, in terms of relationships, learning, social cohesion and inclusion, as well as therapeutic support for people in difficult circumstances; all goals that are shared and pursued by Fondazione Marchesini ACT through its support for many other similar projects.
